Life Scripture?
Romans 12 has always been a chapter in the Bible that I seem to gravitate towards and hope for all Christians to claim. What do you do to relax and find balance in your life? I make sure that I find time to have with family and friends. Also, Carla and I have been known to give each other a few hours alone time each week to do what ever we please. Usually, this means a trip to Best Buy and the local movie theater for me :-) What are you reading right now? Ephesians and one of a zillion seminary books! Where do you hope to experience spiritual growth in the coming year? I have recently started trying to memorize more scripture and I hope to have several verses ingrained not only in my heart but also my mind each month. The Usual stuff… Interests and Favorites Book- Treasure Island Movie- Most Science Fiction will always do well in my opinion. Places- Yosemite National Park, London England, and Dollywood (Yes it really is a place, and Yes I like it- go figure). Hobbies- Disc Golf, Home Theater, Hiking, Playing Games, Having fun with family and friends, Extended Road Trips Education - Bachelor of Art - Fresno State Univ., California and Tennessee Teaching Credential, Master's of Administration - San Bernardino State University, Master's of Christian Education - Southern Seminary (Dec. 2011) What websites do you visit daily? CNET.com Facebook.com Hulu.com What do you appreciate the most about the people of Lock Haven? The young adults at New Life have such character and pizazz. They have so much potential, you can almost cut it with a knife. Carla and I also really connected with some of the folks from Big Woods Bible Church and in a span of a few short days, they felt like close friends. In your recent reading, what insights or quotes have you found most meaningful? Philippians 3:13-14 Bretheren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it {becoming perfect in Christ} yet; but one thing I do; forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Something silly people might not know? Open water and I do not have a great relationship. It's an interesting story. Just ask me over lunch sometime. | Carla Ritz

What do you do to relax and find balance in your life? I love to read, cook, go to movies, go for walks when the weather cooperates, and learn new things. What are you reading right now? I Samuel. Also, Robert Whitlow and John Grisham novels What do you like most about being a collegiate minister? I love watching young people come into their own, spiritually. When their faith takes root and they begin to truly act on it and see God move. I also love just hanging out with them! I love that our door is always open and that so many students take us up on our offer to stop by any time. Where do you hope to experience spiritual growth in the coming year? two words = SELF DISCIPLINE What’s playing on your IPod? The Fugees, Van Morrison, Mandisa, Alex Harvey, Faith Hill, Taylor Swift, Steven Curtis Chapman, Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, basically a HODGEPODGE.
